Levi’s® is one of Exposure’s longest client relationships. We have partnered with the brand for over 15 years in the UK and Europe. In 2010 we targeted a tricky female fashion audience to communicate a brand new shape and cut of jean – Curve iD. The programme we developed as lead European agency (based on insights from a study of 60,000 women) culminated in a two day gathering of European media to the flagship store in London’s Regent Street to launch Curve iD’s ‘Shape not Size’ product and brand campaign.
Over 200 journalists and bloggers attended, delivering commentary throughout as they themselves were fitted for the perfect jeans. Traditional and social media delivered PR value of over 10 million pounds, and from a commercial point of view, the brand saw a 110% increase in sales of women’s Levi’s®, which exceeded UK sales targets by 100,000 pairs. Research from Levi’s® showed that 33% of women visited stores just to purchase Curve iD products.
Exposure and Levi’s® celebrated the 140th anniversary of the iconic 501® jean via a series of media engagement activities. Levi’s® 501® jeans hold a seminal place in fashion history and to mark the 140th anniversary, the brand unveiled the next generation of the 501®, introducing non-denim to the collection for the first time ever. Exposure managed the media relations for the UK market, including a press trip to Levi’s® HQ and archives in San Francisco, together with a press junket in London, where select media were given a unique education in the evolution of the 501®, hosted by Levi’s® Historian, Lynn Downey. The year long celebration culminated in the UK launch of ‘Levi’s® 501® Interpretations’ a limited edition photographic book featuring 150 style interpretations of the 501® jean. The event was attended by VIP media, bloggers and cultural creatives. The 140th ann
iversary was a huge success with a wide spread of in depth features within influential broadsheet supplements, top tier consumer monthly publications and discerning blog posts with a reach of almost 200 million.

Dr. Martens
Agyness Deyn for Dr. Martens
Agyness Deyn, the world renowned British model and style innovator turned her hand from being the face of Dr. Martens to releasing two collections for the brand; AW12 and SS13. Agyness, who perfectly embodies the Dr. Martens ethos of rebellious self expression, used her very British desire to be different with two very popular and quirky collections. Exposure hosted and produced the global launch event and have since been promoting the collection to the UK media.

HOW DOES THE PR AGENCY WORK ON THE INSIDE.
1. THERE IS A BRAND PR FOR A CATEGORY OF EACH SET OF BRANDS UNDER THEM. THEY CALL FOR THE COLLECTION FROM THE BRANDS TO THEIR COMPANY TREND WISE AND KEEP THEM AT THE ROOM SPACE HANGED ON THE STANDS WITH ACCESSORY.
2. EACH HAS A LOOKBOOK AND THE STYLISTS,BLOGGERS,MAGAZINE FIRMS MAJORLY SEND HIRING REQUESTS TO THE PR MANAGER AND THEN COME TO AGENCY THEMSELVES TO PICK UP THE PIECES
NOTE: THEY HAVE TO SPECIFY IN THE NOTE THAT PIECES HIRIED WILL BE CREDITED AND EVEN TAKEN CARE ANY DAMAGE AND FAULT WILL BE BORNE BY THEM OR THEY HAVE TO PAY FOR THIER LOSS AND DAMAGE DONE BY THE HIRED FIRM OR PERSON.
3. THERE ARE PR ACTIVITIES AND EVENT S WHERE THE FASHION INDUSTRY AND MAGAZINE INDUSTRY PEOPLE ARE INVITED TO SEE THE COLLECTION LAUNCHED OR BRAND LAUNCHED IN THEIR STORE OR AGENCY.
4. THE PR HAS TO MAKE SURE THAT SHE IS POLITE AND KIND TO ALL THE REQUEST SHE RECEIVES AND HAS TO BALANCE AND MANAGE THE SLOT OF CLOTHES AND PIECES GIVEN TO EACH, THEREFORE IT IS SOMETIMES BLOCKED PRIOR TO THE REQUEST SENT TO SECURE.
5. PR HAS TO BE A PRO IN COMMUNICATION AND BE ASSERTIVE TO DEAL WITH CLIENTS AND MANAGE THE BRAND AND ONCE THE COLLECTION IS WORN OUT THE PR HAS TO PACK IT AND SEND IT BACK TO THE BRAND OFFICE.
6. NOT ALL CAN HIRE THE PIECES AND BRANDS FROM THE PR AGENCIES IT IS MAJORLY FOR BLOGGERS,STYLISTS AND MAGAZINE FIRMS.
7. SOURCING REQUESTS MUST AT-LEAST BE SENT 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE SHOOT HELD.
8. WORKING IN A FASHION PR COMPANY IS MORE ON THE ROLE OF BEING ORGANIZED AND HANDLING THE BRAND TO THE BEST AND PROMOTING AND MARKETING IT TO THE BEST.
9. THEY ENCOURAGE NEW BRANDS AND EVEN PUSH THEM FRONT TO GET CREDITS AND PROMOTE THE BRANDS WHOSE COLLECTION SPEAKS VOLUMES.
